Cobalt Flux connections can be either 9-pin or 15-pin. Please select the appropriate option when adding it to your cart. The 15-pin control box is mapped to all 9 buttons on the pad including the center button.

Please note this control box is designed to work with a COMPUTER ONLY and will NOT work when connected to the USB port on your video game system (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii).

The USB cable is 5 feet long. To get more freedom with your pad add the optional 5 foot extension cable.

Awesome even for my 16 year old pad

Works well although I needed to make adjustments to my older pad to make it work. It seems for whatever reason the center panel needs to be pressed for the other buttons to register any input. So I gave the sheet metal a pretty generous negative curve and everything works like a charm. Not sure why the center panel just causes a break in the connection but oh well I'm happy it works with such an old pad. I might even get the overhaul kit later this year to make it feel really new again!

Great control box for stepmania!

It works a lot better than the box I made myself. I built a control box and I was getting to much delay on the pad, it kept lagging and missing arrows. This control box works great with no lag! Thanks!

I recommend getting the extension cord.

I recommend getting the extension cord. I ordered my first control box without it and I it took some rearranging of my computer to get my pad in the position I wanted it. I got a second control box for my other cobalt flux and ordered the extension cord this time. Very helpful in being able to position my pads just how I want them, especially when playing with two pads.
